Creating a Metamask wallet
Step 1 - Installation
The first thing you’ll need to do is download the MetaMask wallet software to your device by visiting the official website.
You will be presented with the following options:
- Browser: Compatible with Google Chrome, Firefox, Brave, or Edge website browser.
- Android: Compatible with any smartphone that operates using Android’s operating system.
- iOS: Compatible with any iPhone.
Once you’ve selected your preferred option, click the “Install MetaMask for …” button.
Navigate to the extension icon in the top right corner of your web browser and find the MetaMask option, once you’ve successfully downloaded the software. Click the “Get Started” button and you’ll be taken to the next page and presented with two options (see below.)
Select the “Create a Wallet” option, agree to a short disclaimer that appears and create a password when prompted.
You will need to enter your password each time you wish to access your MetaMask wallet.
Secret Recovery Phrase
A screen will then appear that outlines what a secret recovery phrase is, how you should copy it down (again, on paper not in digital form), and information on why you should never share your secret recovery phrase with anyone.
In short, your secret recovery phrase comprises 12 random words. It’s there as a backup in case you lose the phone or laptop where your MetaMask wallet is downloaded and need to import it to a new device.
You will need to carefully copy down each word in the order they are presented on the screen. The order of the words is crucial as you won’t be able to import your account to a new device if the words are in the wrong order – even if you entered all the right 12 words. MetaMask will then prompt you to type in the 12-word sequence before you can move on to the final steps.
Once you’ve completed the above steps, you’ll be able to use your new MetaMask wallet to access the JumpTask website.
Important: When you create a Metamask wallet, the standard network selected is always Ethereum, therefore, you will need to make sure you are on BSC (Binance Smart Chain) network, otherwise the JumpTask website will not be functioning and you won't be able to see your $JMPT token balance. You can find instructions on how to do that by clicking here.
Creating a Trust Wallet and connecting to the site using WalletConnect
Step 1 - Download and Launch Trust Wallet
The first thing you will need to do is download the Trust Wallet from App/Google Play store or download the .apk file from this page if you're device doesn't support either of them.
Upon the first launch of the app, you will be presented with the screen below which is the part where you can “Create a New Wallet” or “Import” an existing one. For this guide, we will select Create a New Wallet.
Step 2 - Accept Terms of Usage
In order to proceed, you would need to accept the Terms of Usage. Simply put a checkmark at the box then press on Continue. No turning back now.
Warning!
If you agree to to the terms of usage please be aware that, losing your recovery phrases will also mean that you lose access to your wallet.
Step 3 - Save your Recovery Phrase
This is the most important part of your crypto journey. You need to take note of your recovery seed phrases in the right order. Your recovery phrases are the keys to your crypto wallet. So make sure to keep them in a safe place. Tap on Continue to proceed
Step 4 - Verify your Recovery Phrase
If you followed Step 3 and backed up your recovery phrase, this will be a breeze.
In the correct order, select the words in order to complete the verification process. Click Continue when you are finished.
Step 5 - Wallet is Ready
After going thru the backup and verification process you will be redirected to the main wallet screen. You now have successfully created a Trust Wallet and you can use it to connect to the dashboard.
Now, to connect to the JumpTask dashboard, go to app.jumptask.io, and on the login page select "WalletConnect", then you will be presented with a QR code that you need to scan on your Trust Wallet application by going to settings > WalletConnect > New connection and scanning the QR code that is presented on the website.
Congratulations! You have successfully created a wallet and connected it to the JumpTask dashboard.
If you want to connect using another wallet that is supported by WalletConnect, first you have to make sure that this wallet supports BSC(BEP-20) transactions.
Creating Saakuru App (Recommended)
We recommend using the Saakuru App. It's a versatile wallet that works with multiple blockchains, offering endless possibilities for transactions without fees.
One major advantage is that you don't have to remember a 12-word passkey to log in and Saakuru app does not have any gas-fees! You can use your email, password, or social logins, which can be recovered at any time. This means you'll never have to worry about losing access to your wallet or your earnings.
Get your Saakuru App here - https://app.saakuru.com/ref/P-JUMPTASK
Here are the steps to create the Saakuru App:
- Download the phone app and create an account.
If you are using a computer press "Download App" and scan the QR code with the phone. You can create an account with social logins (Apple, Facebook, Google) or directly with the email and password.
- Create a passcode and signature.
After setting up your account on the Saakuru app, you'll be prompted to generate a unique four-digit code. This code will be essential for both logging in and unlocking the app.
After that, you will be asked to create a six-digit code for enabling activities on the app.
- Check the Portfolio tab
There, you will find your newly created wallet and all the networks connected to JumpTask. The JumpToken will also be imported and visible below with the other currencies. - Connect the wallet on JumpTask.
Return to the JumpTask app and select "Add wallet", then connect using "WalletConnect". - Search for the Saakuru App
Locate the Saakuru App either by searching or scrolling down through the list of wallet providers, then tap on it. When the QR code pops up, come back to the Saakuru app and scan the QR using the scanner on the app.
After this you'll be directed to the Saakuru App for the final confirmation.
If you are adding the wallet using your computer instead of your phone, the entire process remains the same. Just remember, when scanning the QR code through Wallet Connect, use the scanner in the Saakuru app, not your phone's camera.
Logging in using social logins
Social logins allow users to log in and access JumpTask without creating any cryptocurrency wallet. In order to log in using social logins, just click on the "Sign Up" button in the app.jumptask.io and choose your preferred social network to log in to JumpTask.
